The lawn bowls club has made a bit of a resurgence in the past few years with bare foot bowls. Traditionally the domain of randy old blokes trying to pick up even randier older birds, the local bowls club has seen an influx of younger folk who’ve finally realised it’s one of the few sports that has a bar right next to the pitch.
A game of skill, touch and patience, lawn bowls is a casual and easy going bucks party activity – for those of you not so keen on the idea of too much physical activity.
