What a week

Well this weekend was a pretty bloody big weekend in sport. We had the Brisbane lions win the NAB cup final, there was also the Australian Grand Prix, the 3rd test finished over in India. The A-League finals creep closer and Super Rugby and The NRL both had some pretty bloody big rounds.

For me the highlights were the Melbourne Storm steam rolling over the so-called 2013 premiership favourites the North Queensland Cowboys. Another highlight was the Australian Grand Prix. Wet weather driving, heaps of action on and off the track and Kimi Raikkonen getting a win over Vettel and Alonso. And finally the big win to the Western Sydney Wanderers at AAMI park against the Melbourne Heart. It’s the Wanderers first season in the A-Leauge and they just need one more win to claim the minor premiership. For their first year in the A-League, that’s a pretty bloody impressive effort.

The low light was of course was Australia cricket teams performance in India. The Australian batsmen really need to lift their game, at the moment I think any under 16 side could beat this cricket side. I seriously hope they lift their game for the final test in Dehli and win a match over there, but I’m not holding my breath.
