BBC-WWS!

Yep it’s time for the Big Boys Club Wired World of Sport. There was some great sporting moments that happened this past week and there is some great sporting action coming up as well.

Let’s start with the Ashes shall we. Now despite our poor batting performance from our batsmen in the first test, the Aussie’s put up on hell of a great fight and came just 15 runs short of winning the first test. Personally the way our batters played we should have lost by a hell of a lot more, but thanks to our bowlers and the heroics of a few batsmen, we came so close! The 2nd test begins tomorrow night and lets hope we can lift our game and tie the series.

Back at home and in the AFL, Collingwood started of poorly against the Adelaide, but in the second half of the game the Pies showed some fight and took it to the Crows. In the end the Pies were just too good for the Crows and they secured their place in the top 8.

It was the final round in the Super Rugby and while most of the eyes were on the Waratahs vs the Reds match, we can’t help but mention how good the Melbourne Rebels finished the season. The Rebels were basically down by 30 odd points and with a half to go, the Rebels showed some ticker and came away with one of the greatest wins in their history.

Tonight! We are fired up for the big decider! The NRL State of Origin game 3 is just hours away. I’ve been a NSW supporter most of my life and I’m hoping this will be the year NSW beat the Queenslanders!

Starting this weekend in Scotland, the British Open is here. Let’s hope Adam Scott can bring that trophy home to Australia. All we know there will be a lot of channel surfing between the Ashes and the Open.

It’s been a while since I mentioned how much I enjoy watching the Women’s Gridiron Lingerie League.
